Welcome

As the new President of OLLI at FSU, I look forward to another exciting and rewarding year for our members following the wonderful examples of the Presidents preceding me.  As you may know, John Van Gieson is our new President-Elect.  Most of you know John as the person who, for the past couple of years, arranged for prominent figures in our community to enlighten and sometimes charm us at our Noon Lecture Series.  Both John and I welcome your comments and suggestions and, with your assistance in the many volunteer opportunities available to everyone, we can reach even greater heights with our classes and group activities.

In May, we are providing a wide array of classes for our short session we call “Maymester” lasting three weeks, May 8 – 24.  The OLLI membership fee you paid last term (spring) includes your membership for Maymester.  If you were not a member in spring, you may join for Maymester and sample the classes we offer which you will find are great fun and intellectually stimulating.  I look forward to seeing you in class in May.
